You realize fall break is coming and become re-energized. You take a Friday afternoon to reorganize your life. You take another Sunday to catch up on all the work you have gotten behind on and all your favorite shows you have missed. You finally find the time to do all of the laundry you have missed between doing homework and curling up in your bed to try to get a few hours of rest before class.

You begin to form a routine and actually stick to it. As September begins to wind down and October begins to show things are beginning to look brighter and more manageable. Just make it to fall break but don't forget to begin study for midterms!

Reward yourself for surviving September, but keep your eye on the prize: a decent GPA! And remember, you are not alone during the September Struggle. Maybe Billy Joel was right, but we can wake everyone up now that September has ended. I did it fam. The ultimate leap that everyone dreams of - I moved to Europe!

And in peak season as well Boy, was I feeling the excitement and my Instagram and Pinterest pages would confirm it. I stayed glued to social platforms pinning every "European Summer Outfit Idea" and "Best Cafe's in Stockholm" that I could find. Soothing myself to sleep each night with countless searches of fashion, food, and home decor the Nordics would offer me. It fed my soul and eased any anxieties that would arise about moving.

It was Mid-June that I embarked on my journey and I'm happy I didn't have to do it solely alone. Me, my boyfriend and 4 suitcases set off together!

Mind you, this was not my first time to Sweden. I have been going in and out of the country for over 6 months whilst my partner and I did long distance, so I knew my way around Arlanda, but I've never traveled with more than 2 suite cases before. It didn't matter though, the bag fee's, the weight, the stress - It all would seem worth it once I was in my modern, Swedish apartment.

However, instead of the hot Italian summer air, crisp lights of the Eiffel Tower or the smell of freshly baked baguettes every morning, Aperol Spritz on tap, or the enchanting Spanish music that plays through the darkness that I fantasized about, I was met with 17 degree C water, sweaters and food that lacked any sort of spice.

I recently have been going through a slump. It's the middle of the semester, and summer seems years away. I needed a bit of inspiration to help me get the motivation I need for the rest of the semester and these quotes gave me just that. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.

As long as you have love and inspiration for what you are doing, you will succeed. So many people think they are too old to go back to school, change their career, or start up a new hobby. This is never true! It's never too late to change your life around for the better.

The quicker you bounce back when you fall down, the better. You become stronger when you get up after taking a fall. Each one of us are blessed with so much. Thoughts on this first non-summer Friday. i read your problem and i have to tell you that you shouldn't worry AT ALL!!!

when two people are together for a long time they do tend to get a little "familiar" with each other. at first everything seems to revolve around the relationhip but slowly u start getting used to in search for a better term eeach other's presence. but that is a good thing. it shows that u have accepted the other in your life.

eg ur parents they are familiar with each other but they still love each other a lot! as for him being sensitive, you've gotta sit down eith him and have a nice talk. tell him how much you love him and what he means to you.

once u do this even if u have to do it many times, you can tell him abt this "problem" best of luck. I've been dating my boyfriend for two years now as well, and there's honestly nothing to be depressed about-that will just make the issue more real than it actually is.

Surprise him! Take him out for the day. And-not to stereotype here-but a lot of guys tend to get a bit lazy in the relationship once they're comfortable.

My boyfriend and I just started taking a swing dancing class despite his adamant protests lol and we both ended up having an amazing time. As for the sex I'm sure he's not bored with you or your body everyone goes through dry spells , but maybe try getting a little kinky just to revive the spark.

Have sex somewhere odd, or integrate something kinky. Just don't let it become routine. Learn something new together. You have no reason to worry at all, just go out and be a little spontaneous with him 😊 -Jenna. I am having similar problems in my relationship. We are stagnant in our daily routines and need excitement. Even when we do go out and have fun, things are not what they use to be , which is good but it is also hard to bring the spark back and keep trying.

My friend and her boyfriend are moving into two different apartments. I am keeping this into consideration, but am a bit scared to move on it.

I'm pretty old and I like to get a new boyfriend every 2 years so that you can always have someone who NEVER takes you for granted. Yes, I was married for a couple of decades with children, but after that long stretch, I prefer to have someone that makes me feel wanted and enjoys taking me out. I am too in a relationship where my boyfriend is complacent, and is so comfortable with me that i feel as though he has stopped trying and just knows that im not going anywhere.

I have bee nconfident throughout our whole relationship that he is the one and he feels the same way, we have lived together basically our whole relationship its a long story but now we have been in our own apartment not for almost 9 months and we have been fighting a lot, and mostly its me being honest with him and him become extremely defensive.

this result in me doubting our relationship and feeling depressed and stressed out. when i say i doubt our relationship, i mean ive considered breaking up with him at times because im unhappy and maybe he might realize what he has once its gone, or a more complicated version would be for him or i to move out. i can't seem to find the guts to break it off, and the communication part as been failing terribly I feel the same. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 2yrs and he's 40 and I'm I want sex.

It use to happen 4 to 5xs a day. Now I'm lucky to have 3xs a month. Even with that he tells me I just want sex to much. What does that mean? Less then 1time a week is asking to much?

I changed my hair color he likes a lot put make up on made him bbq to wake up to and What the hell is happening? Help me! We been going out for almost 3 years!! And all guys Doesn't matter their age because they are just LAZY!! And want to watch t. v or play there game. Lady's dont take it to the heart trust me mine boyfriend Is 37 and I am just show them that u love them..

Am From past one I got commited.. But before getng v used to do sec daily.. In weekends he used to do very hard sex.. My height s 5. He loves me a lot.. Now he s same as before Oyr sexual life s really awe.. V r getting married next year n he wants baby itseems so no planning So wish us.. I've been dating my boyfriend for 1 year today.

Sometimes they like the ladies to take charge. As much as they like taking you out, the would very much appreciate it if you were the one going up to them and taking them out. Show him how much you love him. Regards the sex, relationships are not always about sex and I think that having sex up to times is a lot, and as much as your boyfriend may like it, he may just not want it all the time.

Give him a break or something? Maybe instead of making love all day, go out on a romantic walk, or a meal. I reckon he would appreciate that much more. Regards having children and getting married, don't be too forward.

Remember he's the man in the relationship, and he's the one getting down on one knee to you. How much guts does that take?

Give him some time.. Are you always having a go at him or nagging at him? Give him a break.. Would you like it if he was constantly telling you to do this and do that? No, so lay off him, relax. I know for sure, they hate being nagged to pick socks up, ect..

why don't you do it occasionally? Please tell me what happened with the whole thing I am having the same issues. Our one year anniversary is coming up and the past month or so has been BAD. I am always angry and frustrated. i am dating someone and I am at the same age as when u started to date him how did u keep it going?

AND he cries everynight for me cuse I get bullied at school and he tries to stick up for me but then they start to make fun of him for dating me so we r pretty strong any tips for me? My boy-friend and I are 37 and 29 and we have been together for 3 years. I always show him I love him. We are luck to have sex 1x a year. Lately he seems irritated with me. I haven't been working.

But I have been looking for a job. He is the one making me feel insecure. He says how pretty a girl eyes are how he like brunettes, I am a blond.

I just don't feel like we have the spark anymore. The Spark you guys had before you moved it is normal to have everything is brand new, you bother are trying to impress each other. And once you all settle down sometimes one or the other feels too comfortable with one another that's it's just..

Your not alone to feel this way, because it happens to almost everyone. Try to find other ways to spark your relationship up. I got this from one website that I was refereed too along time ago which lists 7 key things you could do to Ignite that Spark:. Do this even if you are in different states or countries. Make sure the tires in his car have enough air in them before he leaves town.

Hug her every time she walks in the door. Think to get her favorite flower once in a while, for no reason. Wipe up the counter and pick up after yourself like she has been asking. Oh yes, and so are you. We are all really just kids that have bodies that have aged.

Inside all of us are the unmet needs of our childhood as well as the playful, spontaneous, joyful child that we once were. Throughout the time you spend with your partner, see if you can notice the kid inside them.

Respond to that kid just as you would to a kid who has not yet grown older. This is huge. That means turning off the TV, the night-light and the phone. This is your time together. Cuddle and talk, make love if the urge strikes, but that is not the point. The point is to talk about your day, your worries, and your hopes. You may not always have time to process the conflict at that moment, but at least let your partner know that you are having a problem and that you will need to discuss it later.

Breathe deeply. Start thinking about what you love about this person, and what you are grateful for about them. Then remember that they are not your enemy. In the middle of a conflict it sure can feel that way. It can seem that they are attacking you and you are the victim. Instead of arguing your case back to them, listen to what they are saying and, more importantly, what they are feeling. Respond to what they are feeling. Skin to skin contact increases a hormone called oxytocin, the hormone of love.

Most men and many women are touch deprived. Touch increases our overall sense of well being. Be playful in your interactions. Have a sense of humor in times of stress. Find something playful to do that you both enjoy and make it a priority to keep it in your schedule. Play is critical to our sense of connection to others, and to our joy in life.

In our culture we tend to get so serious and think that if an activity is not goal-directed it has no purpose or meaning. Yet play expands our ability to think, develops creativity, and gives us a sense of joy. Playing together in both structured and unstructured ways develops trust and engenders caring.

Staying connected requires time and commitment to the relationship. If you are willing to do all seven of these things, your relationship will flourish.

On May 1, , I will have been dating my boyfriend for 2 full years. Within that time span, I've noticed that not only have we changed as people but the dynamic of our relationship has also changed drastically. Although our relationship started off strong, I do think that things only get better with time and that definitely applies to relationships.

Some things have changed completely while some things remain the same and only get better and better. So, in my experience, here are 7 things that happen or have happened when your relationship reaches the 2-year mark. From bodily noises to honest opinions about family, friends, and outfits, you no longer hold back how you feel. They know about that shirt you love and their friend of theirs that you don't necessarily like and there are no hard feelings. When you first got together, moving in was an idea that was set aside for the distant future.

You rarely spoke of weddings and when you did it was a "maybe one day" kind of thing. Buy now, those realistic plans. You know when you're going to move in and you have a budget, you're saving up for a wedding should you choose to have one , or you have realistic goals that you want to accomplish together. Those thoughts aren't dreams anymore- they're realistic goals. You both know that life is too short and it's better to tell each other sooner than later how you feel, so there are no unknown factors.

You can list his favorite flavor of cake, the way he always falls asleep and his favorite band, but maybe tomorrow he'll tell you his favorite song and it'll surprise you! The fun in a relationship is the everchanging things that among the consistency, the things you get to find out along the way.

You're no longer obsessed with each other and being apart is no longer the most painful thing of your existence. The spark is still there but the weird obsessive stage has been replaced with one of comfort. You both let off some steam then come back together and come to a common resolution. A relationship takes teamwork and that's exactly how you solve things. As we start to embrace the second full week of September, there are some things I'd like to say to the month.

Back again so soon? I could swear I just saw you a few months ago. Well anyway, how are you? That's great because I'm over you already. This isn't some breakup sonnet, this isn't some tearful declaration to my love of summer. This is a direct grievance to your thirty days of filling in between summer at fall.

That's right, you are a filler month! I have so many problems with you. First of all, you do in fact, bring an end to the summer season. How dare you! For a summer lover like myself, September is dreadful, the pools and beaches start to close, amusement parks being to open strictly during the weekends. You push out the warm summer nights and the salt air. You make us say goodbye to sandy toes and the smell of sunscreen. You're all about back to school and putting away that cute white shirt you can't wear until May.

You completely kill the summer vibe with little warning. Second, you're more confusing than a college physics course. One day you want to be ninety degrees and beautiful out but all the pools are closed, thanks a lot and the next you want to be sixty-five and raining? Just why? Don't you know that the school buildings are never cool enough to stand the humidity that's still here?

Don't you know we're sliding out of our seats thinking about how we rather be by the water? You make people pull out their fall attire just to put their shorts back on. And not to mention, being cold in the morning and humid in the afternoon? Like wow. What a sick joke! You kick start the holiday season way too early. Pumpkin spiced everything and plaid everywhere? I'm still enjoying sunglasses and ice cream. You can't pick a temperature but you want to make me excited for the fall season to come?

That's not how it works! And now you try to make us excited with the thought of Halloween creeping slowly closer.

There is a WHOLE thirty days between your first day and October's first day, I shouldn't be seeing back to school supplies next to Halloween candy. When you finally start to cool off and change the leaves from green to gold, I couldn't be happier. You are one of the prettiest months, next to October. Your month inspires people to close doors or chapters in their life in order to blossom in the spring. Pulling out my jeans is the highlight of your month, fall fashion begins to take over and the holidays just roll in after you.

You bring us the beginning of football season, bonfires, and nights spent looking at the stars. Although I can't stand your month, there is some enjoyment to it. It is the beginning of October but most of us college students are still feeling the September Struggle. By this time, many of us have had at least one mental breakdown, 3 assignments due in one day, a Netflix show finished and sleep deprivation.

I believe the 'September Struggle' occurs because of one main reason: our professors decide to make everything due in one week during this month. Granted, this is not the case for all but it sure seems like this is the case every year during this month.

You always see it coming, but you never end up being fully prepared. After it's gone, it'll still leave you reeling for a little while, so take time to appreciate being able to breathe. During this month you don't spend countless hours doing homework at first. Then one week it all hits and you suddenly do not have enough time in the day to do all that needs to be accomplished. Then the 'September Struggle' hits and it hits hard. Next thing you know you'll be walking around struggling to stay awake in class and just trying to get through the week by any means necessary.

However, it's all good cause your classmates next to you are in the same boat as you. Your professors all seem to decide at the same time that they have taught you enough to test you, have you give a presentation, write a paper, and do a group project, all in the same week. During the first bit, it seems easy to stay on top of everything. You may even be able to sneak some Netflix in. Reward yourself with a new series after you survive September.

Once October begins to show things begin to look up.
