While the reasons why someone wants to keep looking at your profile vary, if they knew you were looking it’s very possible they’d look less often. He’s hoping you’ll be the first to reach out. On Another reason why he may keep looking at your online dating profile even though you are both casually dating could be because he is curious to see if you are updating it. If indeed you · He could be a stranger or someone you knew or dated; either way, when he checks your profile, it means he is interested, and he is trying to see whether you are available or not. · He would look look at my profile everyday though! for months! then finally he messaged me months later. we met up finally. after the date, he messaged me on the site. If he doesn't write back.. well, that's just weird. Negative interest would be something like reading someone's take on something I'm passionate about yet is utterly utterly wrong, such as Economics or natural rights. Or something religious. It's rare, but it does happen. Just don't let their odd behavior bother you.
You made initiative, they didn't bite, so you move on. By the way, this is one reason why I no longer date online. You're probably better off going out and enjoying yourself, while keeping your eyes open. Don't get stuck behind a computer screen like I was.
I started talking to this guy. After talking on the phone, texting, messaging on the site, he just stopped contacting me. He would look look at my profile everyday though! for months! then finally he messaged me months later. we met up finally. after the date, he messaged me on the site. I ignored it because I wasnt interested.
he continued to look at my profile. then he sent me another message. i responded to him and we chatted. so its months later now and he still looks at my profile. I had the same thing happen to me on Plenty of Fish. This guy IM'ed me and I told him thank you for the interest, but I'm not interested. He abruptly ended the the convo as soon as I said that. He continued to observe my profile and I just thought nothinig of it. About a month later he sends me a message saying he liked my profile and he thought I was cute and wanted to know if I wanted to talk as if it was his first time seeing me and the IM convo never happened and I told him again I wasn't interested and I blocked him.
I don't do well with stupid behavior I don't know, maybe he thought I was someone else, but I don't see how because I never changed my profile picture or any information and he kept looking at my profile. I had that problem on POF. I had a guy look at my profile and eventually he contacted me. I told him I wasn't interested because I don't date "separated" guys and dads and he blocked me. I saw that he periodically still checked out my profile.
I ended up blocking him. Sometimes I can't come up with a good message on the spot, and I'll come back a few times before sending one.
I hate sending generic messages, so I never fall back to anything close to "Hey, liked your profile, write back if you're interested". Of course the recipients don't know it, but if I write you, it's because I saw something more than just a good looking girl on the internet.
I'm guilty of doing this myself. Reason being I've had zero lucky in getting any decent response from girls online and it's a bit of a confidence killer, you start second guessing yourself, doubting your attractiveness, obsessing over your profile to make sure it's good.
Once you've gone through nearly attempts and gotten next to nothing in return writing yet another message becomes harder because you wonder if it's worth the effort. You suddenly become selective not because they're not good enough for you, it's more like the opposite.

He was extremely good-looking and was constantly messaging me after we matched. I finally suggested that we meet for drinks, positive we would hit it off even more in person, and was beyond excited when he agreed. He explained that he had gotten back together with his ex-girlfriend right before our date — one last try at the relationship before he started dating other girls that he could see himself falling in love with, like me. This is obviously a guy that is intimidated by you and just needs a little assurance that you would give an ordinary guy like him a second glance.
I ended up running into him at bar — he was easily recognizable with his thick-framed glasses and beard. We went on a couple of dates after that, but it turns out that I was the more interested party and he ended up breaking it off. You got through the awkward first date, on to an incredible second, and are now texting sweet nothings by day, cuddling up to Netflix at night.
He tells you how much he adores you, and you are certain that all of the online dating disasters have been worth it and led you to him — your boyfriend? Then you notice him slyly checking his Tinder or friend messages you wondering why your man still has his profile up if he is off the market. Even if you are giving him all the compliments and attention in the world, some guys just get off on knowing other girls want them.
Make sure to learn how to tell if a guy came recently. Until you agree on mutual exclusivity, he may honestly not know where your relationship status is or where you want to be. If you have already decided that you are a couple — it is absolutely reasonable to ask for him to delete those apps and profiles for good.
Then an acquaintance messaged me and told me that the guy I was posting pictures with had just matched with her on Tinder the day before. I chose not to stay in that situation because I had to be true to myself about what I wanted- which was an actual relationship.

This is a self-serving date and shows a lack of emotional maturity which can be true for a man of any age.
Asking yourself. So, he might like you and enjoy your company even though he is still actively looking for a better match. He wants and actually needs to play the field and enjoy dating a variety of women.

When to bring up exclusivity depends on the woman and your age. Over 40, there is no reason to hesitate on discussing this aspect of dating.
If a man over 40 runs when you ask about exclusivity, good! When he suggests sex, and he will, you can handle that in a couple of ways. How you go about this is extremely important.
